Bubble tea, tea houses, Asian bakeries and dessert shops in this group are usually walk-in, counter-order businesses with a menu board overhead listing sweetness and ice levels you can adjust when ordering. Standard bubble tea customization includes sugar level (0-100%), ice level, and a choice of toppings like boba pearls, pudding or jelly, usually at a small extra charge. Asian bakeries sell items individually with tongs and a tray, cafeteria-style, rather than pre-boxed, and pastries are typically less sweet than Western bakery items. Lines build up quickly after school and in the evening, especially near colleges. Most of these businesses accept cards and mobile pay and skew younger in clientele and atmosphere.

Schenectady is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Schenectady follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

We ordered a to go order and got 4 sandwiches and 2 orders of pancakes. We eat out A LOT and the pancakes I thought were pretty bad. They tasted like a burnt griddle the kids wouldnt even eat them. We ordered chocolate chip pancakes and got regular pancakes so that was wrong. We got 2 turkey sandwiches which just stated "turkey" online so we added cheese as an additional charge and mayo, but when we got them they were in to go containers soaked in italian dressed with lettuce thrown in the same container so the bread was all SOGGY. Soggy sandwiches. I got a bacon egg and cheese on bread and yet even mine was covered in lettuce and Italian dressing?! No way would i think a breakfast sandwich would get boxed up with lettuce and italian dressing!? Essentially we wasted $89. So disappointed. We also PURPOSELY aren't eating lettuce right now but yet all of it was all over our food. Hopefully we dont get sick. A salad with dressing should not go in a container with a sandwich... We never called? We placed order online and picked up. We live in Florida and were visiting for 10 days for our annual trip and are currently at the Albany airport so a replacement is not needed.

I've been enjoying Perreca's bread for many, many years. I'm finding lately that the crust that they are so famous for has become so thick it's almost impossible to eat! I've had to cut the crust off to be able to eat a sandwich. Are they keeping it in the oven too long?

Love this place!!! Their mortadella and prosciutto is out of control good!!! Great bakery (10/10 on that bread) and I love how simple an authentic the interior is, preserving the beautiful history of this Schenectedy staple!

This place was the cutest! It's very old fashioned and feels that way immediately when you walk in. The fresh bread in the window is so pretty! I went in for 2 slices of cheesecake for my friends birthday. He mentioned this was the best place for old fashioned cheesecake. Delicious! 😋

Friend suggested I stop in for the tomato pie while in town for a few weeks and I've been back quite a few times. Lots of delicious sauce & I didn't resist a loaf of their renowned bread either. Sweet old fashioned bakery!

Biggest cupcakes this side of the Capitol Region. Use to come here monthly back when I lived in Schenectady to eat at the restaurant side of Perreca's, always picking up a cupcake for dessert on my way out. Since moving though I don't get to visit as much, but I'm glad to see they're still around and still making fantastic cupcakes! Bought two of their four varieties, the Carrot Cake and the Vanilla. They also have a chocolate and red velvet, but I'm unable to eat coca, so sadly can't partake of them. Comparable to Crumbl's price for their cookies, each cupcake was $5 for a total of $10 all together. Which might sound expensive, but you just have to see the size of these things, they're massive, and by the time you're done with one I very much doubt you'll have room for a second. So I find the price to be quite reasonable. Flavor-wise the carrot cake is packed with lots of bis of carrot and spice, with the cream cheese frosting on top working perfectly to provide just the right amount of sweetness to the more subdue pastry. As alluded to in my previous statement, I finished the one but couldn't move onto the vanilla without going overboard, but if it is like I remember then the

The best bread in the area… possibly the state… possibly the country? What’s left to say about the Italian bread made at Perreca’s Bakery? They’ve been doing it for almost 110 years now, since 1914. It’s one of those things you just know when you taste it. For me it’s that crunchy crust, there’s nothing better than using a slice of Perreca’s bread to clean your bowl of macaroni when you’re done. Legend has it that Jack Nicholson fell in love with the bread when shooting “Ironweed” in Albany. The story goes he gets it shipped to his house and demands any of his friends that visit upstate NY to pick up a loaf or two and bring it back to him. You could talk all day about the bread, but there’s so much more to Perreca’s. I tend to go to the store just for a loaf but end up with 3 or 4 more things. Their Tomato Pie is to die for, their pre-made sandwiches are always great, pasta Fagioli is amazing and usually sells out. At the end of the day Perreca’s is a crown jewel of Schenectady and something to be proud of. So many family run Italian stores are closing in the area and I hope Perreca’s stays for another 110 years!

One of the best Italian places to visit in the area! Love love the bread, greens and beans and taralle! Customer service is fantastic. I don’t live in the state but whenever I visit family I stop here a couple times!
